CTO of IBM Greater China Joins CAR Inc.

June 25, 2014 -- CAR Inc. (“CAR” or “the Company) announced today that it has appointed Mr. Yaxiao Liu, current Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Chief Architect of Global Technology Services, IBM Greater China, as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the Company. Mr. Liu will be in charge of CAR’s information technology, to drive the Company’s technological innovation to support business growth.

As one of the top technology experts in IBM China and the Open Group Distinguished Chief/Lead Architect, Mr. Liu has worked in IBM in different capacities since 1999, upon graduation from Tsinghua University. Mr. Liu brings with him 15 years of experience of strategic planning and project management in corporate IT architecture and design, mobile internet application and internet finance, cloud-based computing, smart city planning and online solutions for logistics networks.

CAR is a leading car rental service company in China. According to Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, CAR far exceeds its competitors across various operating and financial metrics, including fleet size, network coverage, market share, and brand awareness.

Mr. Liu received his master’s and bachelor’s degrees of computer science from Tsinghua University in 1999 and 1997 respectively.
